There are two main motion sensor LED tube lights,PIR sensor(infrared sensor) and microwave sensor(radar sensor) tube lights.
The difference between PIR sensor and MW sensor tube:
PIR sensor tube light the infrared detectors will be affected by temperature,airflow,dust and smoke,infrared sensing controller usually for indoor use. But microwave sensing controller completely avoid the effects of temperature .smoke,dust.
Motion sensor is good for detecting the human being.
Microwave sensor is good for detecting the moving of the people or things(car or others)
Motion sensor T8 tube is widely used for car park lighting,warehouse and office lighting.
It plays an important role and very helpful nowadays.
The main purpose of motion detection is to sense and intruder and send an alert to your control panel,which alerts your monitoring center,sensors work when you are not home or when you tell the system you are not there. Motion sensor stand guard, ready to react to various situations,such as movement in your living room.
When parking area underground need motion sensor tube when car coming in,we will select microwave led t8 tube light dimmable, it can detect the movement of person or thing. How this MW led tube works:
1,when a moving object is detected the light will be switched on to 100% brightness.
2,After a propagation time of 5sec,30sec,1min(time according demand can set up)then the tube light will dim to 0%, 20%, 30% 50% (also can set up according demand)
If the dim level is set to 0% the tube will be switched off after a pre-defined time delay that can be adjusted from 5 sec to 1 min.
Alternatively, the tube light can dim to 20%, 30% or 50% for infinite time until the next movement is detected. For example the T8 sensor tube at 22watt power is set to : 1min, 30% that means:
The tube will be fully, 22 watt and 2200 lumen output. After 1 min the tube light will be reduced to 750 lumens (30%) and will stay on continuously. The light will consumer approximately 6.6Watt only.
